A virtual assistant’s goal is to form a partnership with a business or entrepreneur and assistant them in running and building that business. This means they need to have experience with a variety of software packages, excellent writing, proofreading and grammar skills, as well as an understanding of business procedures. Many virtual assistants also have expertise in bookkeeping, Internet, graphics or web design, and marketing.
You don’t need to have experience in every aspect of their business, you do need to have a variety of skills or some specialized skills that businesses are looking to outsource and willing to pay for.
